Panel Beater

Key Responsibilities:

Repair and restore damaged vehicle body panels and structures. Assess vehicle damage and determine the appropriate repair or replacement method. Remove, repair, reshape, and replace damaged body panels. Use hand tools, power tools, hydraulic equipment, and panel-beating equipment safely. Carry out dent removal, straightening, welding, cutting, and panel alignment. Ensure repaired panels are correctly aligned and fitted to manufacturer specifications. Prepare repaired surfaces for filling, priming, and painting. Work with other technicians, including vehicle painters and mechanics, to complete repairs. Inspect completed repairs to ensure a high standard of workmanship and finish. Follow manufacturer repair procedures and workplace health and safety requirements. Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean and organised workshop. Requirements

Proven experience as a Panel Beater / Vehicle Body Repair Technician. Strong knowledge of vehicle body repair and accident damage restoration. Experience working with steel, aluminium, and other vehicle body materials is an advantage. Skilled in dent removal, panel alignment, welding, cutting, and reshaping. Ability to interpret vehicle repair procedures and technical specifications. Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to use workshop tools and equipment safely. Relevant automotive body repair qualification or trade certification is an advantage. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good understanding of workshop health and safety procedures.
