Internship - Investment Banking Summer Associate (Summer 2027)

Investment Banking Summer Associate Fireclay Partners is building a technology-native investment bank. This internship is designed for exceptional MBA students who can combine mature business judgment with hands-on transaction work and the ability to architect AI-enabled workflows.

What You Will Do Lead discrete workstreams across pitches, valuation, diligence, buyer research, transaction materials, and client deliverables. Guide Analysts, review work for accuracy and clarity, and raise the standard of team output. Translate ambiguous business questions into structured research, analytical, and execution plans. Design and improve AI-enabled workflows that combine human judgment, structured data, automation, and quality control. Document repeatable processes and ensure that useful knowledge is captured for future teams. Who Thrives Here Current MBA students seeking a summer internship with a strong academic record and evidence of excellence in finance, consulting, investing, operations, technology, or another demanding field. Strong accounting, valuation, Excel, PowerPoint, writing, communication, and project-management skills. Practical fluency with AI tools and the ability to design a workflow-not merely produce prompts-while maintaining review, verification, and confidentiality standards. Technical curiosity; experience with programming, automation, data analysis, APIs, or no-code tools is strongly valued but not required in every candidate.
