Company Overview Prep Academy Tutors is private in-home tutoring. We deliver flexible and personalized tutoring programs to our students. We specialize in all subject areas and cater to students from age four to twenty. We hire only the best - certified teachers, or those in the process of completing their degree in Education and pay much higher wages than the industry average.

Job Summary We are currently looking for an experienced tutor to support a homeschool family in Southwest Calgary during the upcoming school year.

Provide academic support to students based on expertise and knowledge of the Alberta curriculum.

Provide individualized instruction and supplemental assignments to students to help promote greater understanding of material.

Provide remedial and enrichment support for students based on their individual learning needs.

Support students at the Grade 7 level for English Language Arts and Social Studies

Communicate with parents or guardians to discuss student progress and learning goals.

Create a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment for students.

The schedule will be 4 hours per week Monday and Tuesday mornings. (2 hours each day)

The successful tutor must be available to commit to the full school year, beginning in mid-October.

A qualified applicant will meet the following criteria: You hold a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.)

You have experience providing one-on-one tutoring.

You have experience teaching students at the Elementary and Junior High levels.

You have strong knowledge of the Alberta curriculum.

You have access to a reliable vehicle.

You are available Monday and Tuesday morning.
