Our award-winning client is seeking a State and Local Tax Manager to join their team.We are seeking a motivated and experienced State and Local Tax Manager to join our growing team. You will play a key role in managing client relationships, providing insightful tax advice, and ensuring compliance with complex regulations.

Responsibilities:

Manage and develop strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and exceeding expectations. Lead and participate in diverse state and local tax projects, leveraging your expertise to deliver exceptional results. Conduct in-depth research and provide strategic tax consultation on a wide range of matters. Identify and develop innovative state and local tax optimization opportunities for our client base. Interface directly with the IRS and state tax authorities, representing clients with professionalism and confidence. Prepare for and manage audits and tax notices, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.

Required Qualifications:

A results-oriented professional with 6+ years of management experience. Possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting; a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) is a plus. Hold a CPA license (preferred, but not required). Demonstrate strong expertise in state and local tax with a proven track record of success in a managerial role. Possess excellent written and communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex tax issues.
