Licensed Veterinary Technician Lakeside Animal Hospital | Hermitage, TN Full-Time | $20–$25/hour

Lakeside Animal Hospital is looking for a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our team!

We are a welcoming, three-doctor practice with a genuinely kind, close-knit team and a beautiful hospital. We take great medicine seriously, but we also believe that how we care for our clients, patients, and each other matters just as much.

We are looking for an experienced LVT who has strong technical skills, enjoys connecting with clients, and wants to be part of a team where personality, communication, and collaboration are valued.

What You'll Do As an LVT, you'll have the opportunity to use your skills throughout the hospital, including:

Patient restraint and safe, compassionate handling

Venipuncture and IV catheter placement

Laboratory sample collection and processing

Digital radiography

Anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery

Surgical and dental procedure support

Dental radiographs and prophylactic dental care

Medication preparation and administration

Pharmacy and prescription support

Patient treatments and nursing care

Maintaining accurate medical records

Client education and communication

Supporting preventive care and treatment recommendations

Helping maintain a clean, organized, and efficient treatment area

Most importantly, we want someone who enjoys being part of the client experience. Our technicians are an important connection between our doctors and our clients, so we're looking for someone who is comfortable educating pet owners, answering questions, building trust, and helping clients feel well cared for.

Bonus: Lakeside also sees a small number of exotic and pocket pet patients. Experience working with these species would be a big plus, but it is absolutely not required. We would also love someone who is interested in learning and expanding their skills in this area!

Who We're Looking For You may be a great fit if you:

Hold a current Tennessee veterinary technician license or are eligible for Tennessee licensure

Have a solid foundation of veterinary technical and nursing skills

Are confident working with dogs and cats with different temperaments and medical needs

Have experience with exotic or pocket pet medicine, or are excited to learn

Communicate well with both clients and teammates

Enjoy working collaboratively with doctors, technicians, assistants, and CSRs

Bring a positive, dependable attitude to work

Are willing to jump in and help where needed

Care about creating a great experience for clients and their pets

Want to work somewhere where being a good teammate matters

Compensation & Benefits $20–$25 per hour, based on experience and skill set.
