Senior Mine Geologist - Underground

Do you enjoy being close to the operation, leading people and using geology to influence real mining outcomes? We are seeking a Senior Geologist to lead mine geology activities and drive technical excellence across our operation.

This isn't a role where you'll spend your whole day behind a computer. We’re looking for someone who is technically strong, operationally minded and comfortable being visible in the mine, working alongside geologists, mining teams and technical services to turn geological information into good decisions.

Providing geological control and direction across active underground production areas. Driving high standards in grade control, ore production and geological reconciliation. Providing clear geological advice to maximise economic mineralisation recovery while minimising dilution and ore loss. Reviewing and validat grade control estimates, stoping and extraction outcomes. Maintaining control of geological data collection, validation and interpretation. Tracking ore movement from the mine through stockpiles and through the Mill. Reconciliation to identify performance gaps, understand geological risk and drive improvement. Providing geological input into mine planning and LOM activities. Support resource drilling programs Contribute to safety systems, risk registers and continuous improvement Lead, mentor and develop geology team and contractors, including performance management.

About You:

Tertiary qualification in Geology (or related discipline) Proficiency in Leapfrog and 3D Modelling software. Solid understanding of WA mining WHS legislation C Class manual drivers license A sound understanding of the mining cycle and mine-to-mill reconciliation. Strong operational judgement and the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced mining environment.
