Job Summary: This position is accountable for providing competent nursing care for patients with common health problems, and is expected to deliver competent patient care to a full patient assignment. This position practices under the direction of the designated nurse executive, within the scope of the Nursing Practice Act, and in accordance with Children's policies.

Qualifications:

PLEASE NOTE:

This is a full time, per diem, non-benefited position. During the initial assignment, the selected candidate will work a full-time schedule to provide coverage for employee leaves. Upon the employee's return, the position will continue as a per diem role, with significantly reduced hours based on departmental needs. Education

Program Accredited nursing program (required) Bachelors Degree Nursing (preferred) Licenses and Certifications

RN - Registered Nurse License - CA-BRN - California Board of Registered Nursing (required) BLS - Basic Life Support - AHA - American Heart Association For Labor Pool - Any standard BLS (Heart Code not required) within 30 days of hire or transfer into position (required) Work Experience

Minimum 1 year experience (required) Mastery of RN I performance standards and accompanying competencies (required) Experience in Diabetes Management and/or Endocrinology (preferred) To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
