General Description:

Reporting to the HSE Director, the HSE Field Leader for the Bakken Basin, oversees and supports multiple job site locations in the region where Stage 3 Separation works. The primary responsibilities include conducting site inspections and coordinating support for Area Manager and Field Leader groups within the region. Additionally, the HSE Field Leader works with field personnel to conduct mentoring activities, identify areas for HSE improvement and assist inspections of equipment while onsite. and to assist with training programs. The HSE Field Leader is also responsible for coaching, mentoring, and training employees in their areas of operation. This position typically works a 17/11 schedule, travelling to various job and rig sites.

The HSE Field Leader serves as the face of safety for field operations, setting the standard for a strong safety culture and leading by example. This position is highly visible and serves as a trusted resource for field employees, supervisors, and leadership. The HSE Field Leader is responsible for promoting safe work practices, identifying and addressing hazards, reinforcing company and regulatory requirements, and ensuring that safety remains a priority in every aspect of field operations. The successful candidate must be confident, approachable, professional, and willing to have difficult safety conversations when necessary while building strong relationships and earning the respect of the field workforce.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Conduct onsite inspections to identify potential hazards, unsafe conditions, and areas of non-compliance. Conduct follow-up inspections and reviews to verify that corrective actions have been completed. Oversee, coordinate, and monitor day-to-day onsite Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) activities to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Promote a strong safety culture through active HSE Leadership and support of Field Leaders and onsite Field Technicians. Assist with Heavy Equipment training for field and shop personnel. Maintain positive working relationships with customers and customers’ HSE representatives to ensure HSE requirements are understood and addressed. Exercise time management and sound judgment in response to safety concerns and operational issues. Communicate and respond to safety hazards, incidents, regulatory concerns, or other conditions that may affect personnel and operations. Promote continuous improvement of HSE practices by identifying trends, recurring issues, training needs, and opportunities to improve field safety performance. Support management and field leadership with the implementation of HSE initiatives, programs, and corrective actions across assigned operations. Utilize computer systems and Company software to read and respond to emails, complete required documentation in support of company requirements and objectives. Maintain accurate and timely records of inspections, observations, incidents, corrective actions, training, and other required HSE activities.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental principles and best practices. Knowledge of OSHA regulations and their application. Knowledge of Federal, State, and Local laws. Knowledge of Environmental regulations. Strong skills regarding personal and professional organization. Strong skills regarding teamwork and collaboration, and respect. Strong skills regarding time management, e.g., consistently meeting deadlines. Ability to perform HSE audits and inspections for compliance. Ability to maintain confidentiality with documents and information. Ability to travel up to 100% of the time. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred. Experience using Mitti, or similar HSE Management Systems, required.

Required Education, Credentials, Licenses and Experience:

High School Diploma or GED required. Degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Industrial Safety, or a related discipline preferred. Candidate can live anywhere - but must be willing to commute to Mandan, North Dakota, and visit various rig sites and job sites during rotational "hitch" schedule - 17/11. Minimum of 3 years of progressive safety experience in oilfield, industrial, energy, construction, or field operations environments, is required. Relevant professional certifications and or training certifications, such as ASP, CSP, H2S, First Aid/CPR, and/or other industry-recognized safety credentials are strongly preferred. Minimum of OSHA 30, with a cursory knowledge of OSHA safety standards, is required. Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, or their equivalence. Requirements
