Build Projects. Lead Teams. Deliver Results.

Are you an experienced electronic security systems technician ready to take the next step in your career? Alert Alarm is looking for a hands-on Field Project Manager to lead installation projects from planning through completion. In this role, you’ll coordinate people, materials, schedules, and budgets while serving as a trusted partner to customers and a leader to our field technicians.

If you’re a strong problem-solver who takes pride in quality work, customer satisfaction, and team success, we’d love to meet you!

Key Responsibilities

Lead Projects: Manage installation projects from initial planning through final testing, customer training, and closeout. Coordinate Schedules: Develop project timelines, coordinate technician assignments, and adjust schedules to meet deadlines. Manage Materials: Ensure the right equipment, parts, tools, and technical information are available when needed. Support Customers: Serve as the primary customer contact, communicate project updates, resolve issues, and ensure customer satisfaction. Oversee Budgets: Monitor labor, materials, and project expenses to maintain profitability and control costs. Lead Technicians: Supervise and support installation technicians, assign work, monitor performance, and promote safe, efficient job execution. Ensure Quality: Review project documentation, drawings, installation reports, and change orders to ensure work meets specifications and company standards. Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with Sales, Operations, and Project Management to define project scope, address challenges, and deliver successful outcomes.

What You Bring

Previous experience installing electronic security systems. Leadership or supervisory experience, with the ability to coach and motivate field technicians. Strong project management, scheduling, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and work orders. Understanding of project costs, materials coordination, and installation workflows. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Work requirements: Regular driving and travel as needed; occasional evening or weekend work may be required.

Why Join Alert Alarm?

We believe in taking care of the people who take care of our customers.

Competitive pay starting at $50+/hour, based on experience and certifications. Medical, dental, and vision insurance. Short-term disability and life insurance. 401(k) retirement savings plan. Paid time off. Training, professional development, and opportunities for career growth. Pet insurance. A supportive team that values your contributions and cares about your success.

Ready to take your technical expertise and leadership skills to the next level? Join Alert Alarm and help us deliver reliable security solutions, successful projects, and exceptional customer experiences.

My recommendation: Keep the compensation near the top of the posting. At $50+ per hour, this is a strong selling point that can help attract experienced technicians who are ready to move into project management. The revised version also makes it clear that this is a leadership role-not simply an administrative scheduling position.
