About the Role

The Traveling HVAC Pipefitting Journeyman installs, assembles, tests, and maintains HVAC and mechanical piping systems on large-scale industrial and commercial projects across multiple states. You’ll work alongside Foremen, Superintendents, Project Managers, and other trades to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality installations.

Travel opportunities across multiple states Per diem for eligible traveling employees Competitive compensation and benefits 401(k) with company match Career growth and advancement opportunities Exposure to high-profile, technically advanced projects Team-oriented environment where We Build People What You’ll Do Install, assemble, and maintain HVAC and mechanical piping systems Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and layouts Cut, thread, fit, weld, and assemble pipe according to project requirements Prepare and install piping, fittings, valves, and related components Perform pressure, hydrostatic, and leak testing Troubleshoot installation issues and make field adjustments as needed Use hand and power tools safely and effectively Coordinate with Foremen, Superintendents, Project Managers, and other trades Maintain quality standards and ensure work meets project specifications and applicable codes Follow OSHA and company safety requirements, including proper PPE Maintain tools, equipment, materials, and work areas Document completed work, testing, inspections, and material usage Assist with training and mentoring less-experienced pipefitters What You'll Bring 3+ years of commercial or industrial pipefitting experience Experience with HVAC, hydronic, process, or mechanical piping systems Ability to read and interpret piping drawings, blueprints, and specifications Strong pipe fabrication, fitting, and installation skills Welding, brazing, threading, or grooving experience Knowledge of piping materials, fittings, valves, and installation methods Experience with pressure and leak testing OSHA 10 certification required Strong understanding of safety, quality, and jobsite procedures Ability to work effectively with multiple trades and field teams Ability and willingness to travel extensively Project Environment
