Circle K Business Centre in Riga, Latvia is looking for:

Accountant in Cash Reconciliation team (Operational accounting) Type of Employment: Permanent

Location: Riga, Latvia

Visa requirements: A valid work permit from the EU/EEA

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Reconcile daily cash sales recorded in the finance system against bank statements and cash collection records. Investigate and resolve discrepancies between recorded cash sales, cash collected by cash-in-transit providers, and amounts credited to bank accounts. Ensure the accurate and timely allocation of bank receipts to the relevant cash sales, collection records, and general ledger accounts. Monitor cash-in-transit balances and outstanding deposits to ensure that all expected cash collections are received and accounted for. Identify, analyze, and follow up on missing, delayed, duplicate, or incorrect cash deposits. Liaise with banks, cash collection providers, local business units, and internal finance teams to investigate and resolve cash discrepancies. WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Degree in accounting, economics or finance field; Previous experience in accounting, finance or audit field; Excellent knowledge of MS Office and willingness to learn new systems; Excellent organizing abilities and attention to details; Ability to work independently; Ability to analyze things, and conduct investigations on discrepancies; Fluent English language skills (both – oral and written) to communicate with colleagues in Europe.
