ABOUT THE ROLE As a Sales Engineer at HIGHCAT, you'll be the technical bridge between our products and the government, security, and public safety customers who depend on them. You'll demonstrate our systems and subsystems in the field, translate complex technical capabilities into terms that matter to operators and procurement officials alike, and carry customer requirements / scope changes back to engineering so we build what actually solves their problems. This is a role for someone who stands behind our product and communicates through technical credibility to key governmental officials and stakeholders.
WHAT YOU’LL DO Technical Demonstration & Customer Engagement
Conduct hands-on product demonstrations for military, government, and public safety customers, translating technical capabilities into operational value
Serve as the technical authority in customer conversations, answering deep product questions on the spot and building credibility with technically sophisticated buyers
Support field trials, evaluations, and pilot deployments, ensuring the product performs as promised in real operational conditions
B2G Relationship Management
Navigate government and military procurement processes, understanding the unique requirements, timelines, and stakeholders involved in public sector sales
Build and maintain relationships with technical evaluators, program managers, and end users across defense, public safety, and critical infrastructure customers
Represent HIGHCAT at industry events, trade shows, and customer sites
Requirements Translation
Serve as the voice of the customer internally, ensuring field feedback can impact important architectural decisions
Work closely with engineering to understand what's technically feasible and communicate constraints honestly to customers
Cross-Functional Coordination
Partner with engineering, and finance to ensure smooth handoffs from sales to deployment
Provide accurate technical and operational input into proposals and contract discussions
