Implement and manage Palo Alto Networks security solutions, including next-generation firewalls, GlobalProtect VPN, threat prevention, network segmentation, and Zero Trust architectures. Develop and maintain network automation solutions utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC), APIs, Python, Ansible, Terraform, and modern automation frameworks. Monitor and optimize network performance, resiliency, capacity planning, and operational efficiency. Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for critical network incidents in highly available production environments. Partner with Security, Systems, Cloud, and DevOps teams to ensure seamless infrastructure integration and operational excellence. Evaluate emerging networking and security technologies and provide architectural recommendations. Develop and maintain network documentation, architecture diagrams, standards, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior engineers. Participate in after-hours support and major incident response activities as required. Perform other duties that support the overall objective of the position. Education Required
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.
Or any combination of education and experience that would provide the required qualifications for the position.
Experience Required
8+ years of hands-on network engineering experience in large-scale enterprise environments. 3+ years of operational experience supporting Cloud, DevOps, Infrastructure Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) functions. Strong experience designing, implementing, and supporting Juniper routing, switching, and wireless networking platforms. Strong experience administering Palo Alto Networks next-generation firewalls and enterprise security solutions. Experience with Palo Alto GlobalProtect, network segmentation, threat prevention, intrusion prevention, VPN technologies, and Zero Trust security principles. Experience supporting enterprise WAN, LAN, campus, and data center networking environments. Experience with network automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Python, Ansible, Terraform, REST APIs, or similar technologies. Hands-on experience with cloud networking and connectivity within public cloud platforms. Experience with Juniper Mist Wireless and AI-driven network operations preferred. Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) preferred. Experience supporting healthcare or other highly regulated environments preferred. Licenses / Certifications
