About the job
Sales Manager / Business Director Long Island | Hybrid | Around 25% travel | $110,000 to $150,000 base plus 20% bonus
Position Overview
Our client is a growing supplier of industrial goods. Healthcare, mainly hospitals and nursing homes, has long been the core of the business, but most new business now comes from food and beverage, aerospace and municipal accounts. The company is expanding across the tri-state area, Texas, Florida, California and Arizona, and is hiring a Sales Manager to help lead that growth.
The company is moving to a team-based sales model. Support staff generate meetings, the Sales Manager builds and develops opportunities, and a senior seller joins to close. The role works closely with senior leadership to put real structure around the sales process and set the tone for sales across the business. A typical week is one day in the Long Island office, three days on customer sites and one day working from home, with around 25% of travel outside New York State.
