Financial Reporting Specialist

Responsibilities:

Prepare and ensure compliance with all SEC filings (10-Ks, 10-Qs, 8-Ks) with GAAP and regulations.

Assist in crafting quarterly earnings releases and complex accounting areas (income tax, stock compensation, etc.).

Compile monthly financial reports for clear management review and analysis.

Assist with developing assumptions, participating in the process, and compiling reports for the Asset & Liability Committee.

Maintain and enhance the Bank's FDICIA/SOX internal control program.

Provide insightful ad-hoc reports and analysis to meet management needs.

Perform and maintain ongoing peer group performance analysis.

Support internal/external audits and regulatory examinations as needed.

Guide and mentor accounting/finance team members, fostering collaboration and high performance.

Identify and recommend continuous improvement opportunities in accounting and reporting.

Assist in researching and implementing new accounting software solutions.

Required Qualifications:

5+ years' experience in public accounting or banking (fast-paced environment).

Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance (required), CPA preferred.

Strong knowledge of SEC regulations, GAAP, and bank accounting.

Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently, multi-task, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
