The Position Regional Logistics Manager - Polymers & Coatings (Carbonates)

Job Summary Job Title: Regional Logistics Manager – Polymers & Coatings (Carbonates) Location: Roswell, GA (hybrid, onsite 3 days/week)

We are seeking a Regional Logistics Manager to oversee logistics, supply chain operations, and distribution for our Polymers & Coatings (Carbonates) division. This position manages P&L responsibilities, drives actionable KPIs, and optimizes transportation across multiple modes. This role will oversee logistics functions across various freight modes and shipping facilities to ensure the timely delivery of products to customers.

Lead logistics strategy and operational excellence Directly support sales with logistics solutions, cost modeling, and customer meetings. Drive service KPI’s and Freight P&L performance Sales & Customer Support

Collaborate with the Sales team and customers to identify and address operational requirements. Manage freight customer profitability in partnership with Sales, and identify upper- and lower-margin outliers that require attention. Service & Issue Resolution

Track carrier service KPIs with shipping teams, hold regular meetings with carriers, identify performance gaps, and implement corrective actions. Lead the logistics strategy for key accounts by finding the best balance of competitive service, equipment, model, route, and cost New Customer and Destination Logistics

Lead all pre- and post-launch logistics onboarding tasks, acting as the primary liaison between customers and carriers to coordinate equipment capacity, site loading/offloading requirements, and overall preparedness. Drive Freight Financial Performance

Analyze monthly freight profitability variances to understand financial changes, collaborating closely with Product and Sales Managers to identify action items and develop mitigation solutions. Partner with Product Managers to assist with pricing strategies for new and existing business and evaluate freight RFP(s) rate impact. Collaborate with Purchasing groups on RFP(s), carrier selection, and successful implementation. Transportation Strategy

Develop and optimize transportation solutions to effectively meet customer delivery requirements. Ensure cohesion between carriers and site shipping teams regarding scheduling, loading, shipping, and delivery processes. Optimize the Order-to-Cash process by collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders and SMEs to identify, address, and resolve systemic order flow issues. Collaboration with Purchasing Group

Collaborate with Purchasing groups on RFP(s), carrier selection, and successful onboarding. Sills and Requirements:

5+ years of management-level experience in logistics, supply chain, or manufacturing A measured and impartial approach, complemented by a leadership style that emphasizes a strong focus on customer needs. Economic and analytical skills. Experience implementing actionable KPIs Experience in management with responsibility for profit and loss (P&L). A bachelor's degree in business management, supply chain management, engineering, or finance. Experience with ERP systems (such as SAP) and logistics transportation management systems (TMS). Proficient understanding of transportation modes including trucking, rail, maritime shipping, and warehousing. Advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, formulas, utilizing multiple data sets, interpreting results). Entrepreneurial self-driven mindset Leadership and interpersonal soft skills Flexibility and attention to detail Ability to travel up to 15%- 25%
