At the Valeo plant in Czechowice-Dziedzic, we manufacture powertrain systems that support fuel consumption reduction and lower emissions – starters, air throttle bodies, exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valves, electromechanical actuators, and innovative electric drives.
We are looking for an experienced engineer to take on a dual role in our R&D department. This position combines managing the standardization program (RAISE) with expert design review in mechanical engineering. The person in this role will be a key link in ensuring process and product reliability as well as managing technical risk.
Hydraulic Module RAISE (Robustness, Accountability, Innovation, Standards, Expertise) Leader (50% working time):
Optimizing product and process reliability based on OEM technology standards Strengthening product and process standardization and supporting efficiency as part of the continuous improvement plan Managing and chairing Product & Process Design Review (PPDR) meetings Creating and updating project assessment reports based on Product & Process Design Review (PPDR) meetings Escalating critical technical issues to the Region/Cluster/Platform Standardizing and capturing technological knowledge, as well as supervising de-standardization procedures Cooperating with project teams, standard owners, and product architects Supporting engineering teams in solving complex technical issues Mechanical Eng. Discipline Reviewer (50% working time):
Technical leadership and 3D design evaluation to eliminate errors (zero failure) Leading Mechanical Design Review meetings, identifying risks, and managing them within the Mechanical Cluster RedBox technical register Tracking and incorporating open items from M-Gates, Part Design Reviews (Technical Reviews), simulation analyses, and NVH into reviews Creating and updating project assessment reports that provide the final design rating as input for PPDR processes Ensuring strict application of approved standards, including verifying the use of components from the internal catalog Compliance with internal design processes and procedures Requirements:
University degree in engineering (preferably in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or a related field) Proven experience in R&D in positions related to design, validation, or product quality engineering Strong knowledge of Design Review processes (PPDR) and technical risk analysis and management tools Ability to evaluate 3D documentation, knowledge of mechanics, NVH, and simulation processes Strong leadership skills, experience in leading technical meetings, and coordinating working groups Fluent English, enabling clear communication within international engineering structures What We Offer:
