QUALIFICATIONS Education:
Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration)
Work Experience:
Experience: 2-5 years of relevant experience, ideally with a finance, consulting, or transaction advisory background.
Knowledge & Skills:
The ideal candidate will need to be organized and skilled in prioritizing many initiatives. The ability to pivot quickly as demands change in real-time and the ability to adjust workflows to reflect practical time constraints are key. Analytical Rigor: Analytical, methodical, and rigorous approach; ability to independently unpack complex business issues, perform research and analyses. The ideal candidate has the ability to present complex concepts/ideas in concise, easy-to-understand terms. The ability to communicate effectively with executive-level and cross-functional teams, both verbally and in writing. This candidate will be involved in managing external communication with potential acquisition / business development opportunities. Excellent teamwork dynamics are critical. The ideal candidate will show high levels of empathy, strong communication skills and an appetite for feedback. The ability to work both individually and manage/lead team projects and team members across business units, as well as being an honest broker and objective sounding board, is crucial to the success of this individual. Excel: Advanced technical proficiency is required. Comfort building financial models from a blank page, working with large and imperfect data sets, and structuring analysis so that it is auditable and can be followed by someone else. PowerPoint and Messaging: Able to take raw analysis and turn it into a clear message - identifying the key takeaways, structuring the narrative, and building clean, well-designed, executive-ready presentations that leadership can act on. Working with AI: Uses AI tools deliberately and well - strong prompting, and applying them to move faster across multiple concurrent workstreams and to run projects independently. Just as important is the judgment to manage them: outputs are reviewed, checked, and validated rather than accepted at face value. Point of View: Comes into discussions prepared with an informed perspective on the topic at hand, and is expected to share it. Proactivity: Identifies where analysis or support is needed, inserts themselves into the process early, and moves work forward without waiting to be asked. Ownership and Judgment: Ability to take an abstract ask, make and document reasonable assumptions, and turn it into a tangible deliverable that leadership can react to - owning it from first draft through iterations of review. Requires discretion on when to escalate: exhausting available resources and taking work as far as it can reasonably go independently, while recognizing when a question genuinely needs to be raised and raising it early enough to protect the deadline. Curiosity: A genuine interest and passion for learning the business and playing a key part in helping it grow. Deal and project timelines occasionally require flexibility beyond standard business hours.
SCOPE Authority to Act:
Job is fairly routine. Incumbent follows established practices and procedures. Duties are performed with specific directions given and work is checked or verified on a frequent basis. Decisions are made within specific operational instructions and departmental guidelines. Errors in judgment could affect the smooth and efficient operation of the department.
