About the Opportunity:

We are hiring a Director of Marketplaces to lead, develop, and strengthen our Amazon and Marketplaces team. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who is both a true Marketplace expert and a builder of people. You will set the standard for how our team works, establish the best practices and systems that make great work repeatable, and develop a talented, early-career team into a group of confident marketplace professionals.

Our current team has dedicated and motivated team members with varying tenure, and they need a leader who will teach, coach, and set them up for long-term success. Once that foundation is in place, you will guide the division's next stage of growth.

What You'll Do:

Team Leadership and Development

Build a stable, engaged team where people want to stay, grow, and build careers in marketplaces Coach and mentor a junior team through hands-on teaching, regular 1:1s, and real-time feedback on client work Create individual development plans and clear career paths so each team member understands how to grow Set clear expectations and roles, run a consistent operating rhythm, and hold the team accountable with fairness and care Lead hiring, onboarding, and performance management for the Marketplaces team, building a structure that can continue to scale as the team grows Model eAccountable's core values in every client and team interaction

Best Practices, Systems, and Training

Establish the standards, SOPs, and playbooks that define how marketplaces work gets done at eAccountable Build a structured onboarding and training program so new team members ramp quickly and consistently Create quality control and review processes so delivery excellence does not depend on any single person Design the division's structure, roles, and capacity model so workloads are balanced and sustainable Document institutional knowledge so expertise stays with the team as it grows.

Marketplace Expertise and Client Delivery

Serve as the team's subject matter expert across Amazon Advertising, Seller Central, Vendor Central, catalog, and retail media Stay ahead of Amazon platform, advertising, and retail media changes, and translate them into training and updated practices for the team Set and uphold the standard for client strategy, communication, reporting, and results across the division Act as executive sponsor for key client relationships, leading QBRs and annual planning alongside account leads so the team learns by doing Own resolution of escalations and at-risk accounts, using each as a coaching opportunity for the team Partner with Creative, Paid Media, Data, and Affiliate leaders to deliver integrated client outcomes

Strategy and Growth

Own the marketplaces division strategy, annual plan, and quarterly priorities, tied to retention, quality, and revenue targets Build the roadmap for service expansion beyond Amazon, including Walmart and other priority marketplaces, as team capacity allows Grow revenue within existing clients by deepening results and identifying expansion opportunities Support the new business team as the marketplaces expert in pitches, audits, and proposals Manage divisional performance metrics including revenue, margin, utilization, and team retention

What You Bring:

8+ years in Amazon and marketplace management, with deep hands-on command of Amazon Advertising, Seller Central, Vendor Central, catalog, and retail media 5+ years directly leading and developing teams with evidence of strong retention and career growth, including early-career or junior team members Proven track record of growing Amazon accounts and total book revenue across key verticals such as Home and Garden, Supplements, and Health and Wellness, with results you can quantify Direct experience selling agency services: leading pitches, building proposals, and closing new clients Experience owning senior client relationships with brands in the $20M to $200M revenue range A track record of building teams people stay on, including hiring, coaching, and managing performance Strong commercial judgment: comfortable with P&L, margin, pricing, and capacity decisions

Preferred Experience

Experience stabilizing a team through a period of turnover or transition Walmart Marketplace, Target Plus, or other marketplace expertise Additional vertical depth in Beauty and Personal Care, Sports and Outdoors, or Fashion Familiarity with EOS or a similar operating system

What We Offer:

1st Round: 30-45 minute interview with the Recruiter 2nd Round: 45-minute interview with the Hiring Manager 3rd Round: Pre-interview Assessment + 2 hours of onsite interviews with the Hiring Team

Please note that we are fully onsite work environment, and require daily presence at our LoDo/Union Station office for local Denver candidates. We will secondarily consider exceptional remote candidates. We do not work with outside recruiting agencies.
