Commercial Kitchen Exhaust Cleaning Technician

Total Group of Companies is looking for a Commercial Kitchen Exhaust Cleaning Technician to join our team of fire and safety professionals! This role will focus on inspecting and cleaning commercial kitchen exhaust systems in accordance with NFPA 96, applicable fire-code requirements and company procedures.

Daily tasks and activities include, but are not limited to:

Inspect and clean commercial kitchen exhaust systems

Clean kitchen hoods, filters, grease-removal devices, accessible ductwork, exhaust fans and related components

Remove grease and other combustible deposits using approved cleaning methods

Set up containment and protect kitchen equipment and surrounding areas

Safely operate pressure-washing, scraping and degreasing equipment

Access rooftop exhaust fans using ladders and approved fall-protection equipment

Complete before-and-after inspections and take clear photographs of completed work

Apply service labels and complete required cleaning documentation

Identify and report inaccessible areas, damaged components and other deficiencies

Maintain company tools, cleaning equipment, PPE and vehicles

Communicate professionally with clients and site representatives

Follow all company and site-specific health and safety procedures
