About the job
Title: Data Center Delivery Engineer
Grade: L2
Location: Karachi
Company: JazzWorld
JazzWorld is Pakistan’s fastest-growing digital ecosystem, spanning connectivity, financial services, entertainment, lifestyle, enterprise and software services. As the Data Center Delivery Engineer to manage and facilitate customer onboarding, migration, and service delivery activities for Rack as a Service (RaaS), Colocation, and Data Center Hosting Services across the South Region.
The incumbent will serve as the primary focal point for both greenfield and customer migration projects into Jazz Data Centers, ensuring smooth execution of technical, operational, infrastructure, power, cooling, connectivity, and compliance requirements. The role requires strong stakeholder management skills, project coordination capabilities, and sound knowledge of Data Center operations and infrastructure.
The role reports directly to the Head of Delivery - Connectivity & Smart Solutions.
What you’ll own
Lead end-to-end greenfield builds, customer onboarding, implementation, and migration projects into the Data Center. Manage greenfield deployments and customer migrations for Rack-as-a-Service (RaaS), Colocation, and related Data Center services. Conduct surveys, technical assessments, and migration readiness evaluations. Develop migration strategies, implementation plans, project schedules, and risk mitigation plans. Ensure successful migration and deployment of customer infrastructure with minimal service disruption. Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Data Center Operations, Facilities, Power, Cooling, Security, Network, and Field Operations to ensure service readiness. Verify infrastructure readiness including rack space, power allocation (kW and redundancy), cooling capacity, structured cabling, and connectivity requirements. Manage MMR, cross-connect, interconnect, and structured cabling provisioning activities. Act as the primary customer focal point throughout the project lifecycle and ensure effective stakeholder management. Conduct customer meetings, Data Center tours, project reviews, and progress update sessions. Prepare and maintain project documentation including SOWs, MOPs, implementation plans, migration checklists, and delivery records. Ensure compliance with operational standards, governance policies, and change management procedures. Manage customer change requests, coordinate approvals, and oversee implementation and closure of changes. Support Sales and Presales teams with technical consultations where required. Prepare and validate BOQs, resource requirements, and deployment plans for customer projects. Monitor project milestones, track delivery progress, identify risks, and ensure timely project completion. Facilitate service acceptance, customer handover, and transition to operations teams upon project completion.
What success looks like
Customer migrations into the Data Center are completed within the agreed maintenance windows, with no unplanned downtime and every cutover backed by a tested MOP and rollback plan. Greenfield RaaS and Colocation deployments go live on the committed date, with rack, power (kW and A/B redundancy), cooling, and cabling validated and signed off before customer equipment arrives. MMR, cross-connect, and interconnect requests are provisioned within the agreed SLAs, with accurate records and no rework from cabling or patching errors. BOQs, resource plans, and deployment designs prepared with Sales and Presales hold up after contract signing, with few scope changes or cost overruns during delivery. Customers sign service acceptance on first submission, give strong feedback in post-project reviews, and come back for additional racks, power, or services. Every project closes with a complete SOW, MOP, checklist, and delivery record set, all changes are approved before execution, and Operations takes over without open issues or missing documentation.
Requirements
You may be a strong fit if you:
