About the job
The Opportunity
An established, family-owned, asset-based logistics and workplace solutions provider is building out a dedicated sales vertical around B2B final mile, white glove delivery and installation, and warehousing. This is a newly created hunting seat, not a backfill.
Today the company sells these services through a generalist sales force. They are carving out this vertical because it is where they see the most room to grow, including a new Massachusetts warehouse facility coming online next summer that this role will help fill.
The person who takes this on will own the vertical. You will not be handed a playbook, a territory map, or an inherited book. You will be given assets, operational capability, and the room to go build something and put your name on it.
Confidential search. The employer's name is shared with candidates during the first conversation.
What You'll Be Selling
B2B final mile and white glove delivery, product out of the warehouse, onto the truck, into the customer's facility, placed, installed, plugged in, debris removed Warehousing, fulfillment, storage, and inventory management Installation and FF&E services Reverse logistics and asset management Project management for multi-site and national rollouts Target verticals: healthcare and medical equipment, retail rollouts, commercial office furniture, fitness equipment, and specialty product manufacturers.
Note: this is business-to-business work, commercial and enterprise accounts, not residential or direct-to-consumer delivery.
What You'll Do
Hunt. Roughly 70–75% of your time is net-new business development, self-sourced prospecting, cold outreach, industry networking, and working your existing contacts Build and manage a pipeline of commercial and multi-location accounts from scratch Sell consultatively, learn how a prospect's operation actually works, then structure a warehousing and final mile solution around it Grow a smaller set of existing accounts the company will assign to you Partner with warehouse operations, installation crews, and leadership to scope and price work that can actually be delivered Help drive volume into a new regional warehouse facility launching next year Keep CRM activity, opportunities, and forecasts current What We're Looking For
Required:
5+ years of B2B sales experience in final mile logistics, white glove delivery and installation, warehousing, 3PL, fulfillment, or asset-based supply chain services A genuine hunter track record, demonstrable revenue you personally sourced and closed, not an inherited or house account book Experience selling for an asset-based or asset-light provider (a company that owns warehouses, trucks, and crews) rather than a pure freight brokerage Command of the operational vernacular, you can talk racking, dock schedules, install crews, receiving windows, and job site logistics with an operator and be believed Existing commercial contacts in the Northeast / Mid-Atlantic market Residence within the Boston-to-Baltimore corridor CRM proficiency and disciplined pipeline management What sets the right candidate apart:
Entrepreneurial. You've built a territory, a vertical, or a book from nothing before and you liked it Comfortable with ambiguity and a flat, fast-moving, family-owned environment, this is not a large corporate machine with a rigid process to follow Willing to take intelligent risks and figure things out without waiting for direction Thoughtful about your own career, and looking for ownership rather than the next lateral move Compensation & Benefits
