Who We Are: At Hunt St, we help Australian companies hire top remote talent in the Philippines. For this role, you will be engaged directly by the client as an independent contractor. We are not an outsourcing agency.
Who The Client Is: An Australian business supplying products nationwide, managing its own procurement, international supply chain, inventory, warehousing, freight, product development and compliance.
Role Overview: Oversee and improve daily operations across the company’s Western Australian and Victorian distribution centres, working directly with the Managing Director and cross-functional teams to optimise purchasing, inventory, logistics, warehouse operations and compliance.
You’ll also support product development, improve operational systems and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement, Inventory & Logistics
Manage local and international purchasing, supplier relationships, order schedules and delivery commitments. Oversee inventory levels, stock forecasting, warehouse transfers and slow-moving or critical stock across both sites. Coordinate domestic and international freight, monitor shipments and improve delivery performance while reducing costs. Ensure customer orders are dispatched accurately and on time. Warehouse & Facilities Operations
Provide remote oversight and guidance to both warehouse teams, monitoring productivity, accuracy and dispatch performance. Improve receiving, storage, picking, packing and dispatch processes. Coordinate facilities maintenance, service providers, safety procedures and operational requirements across both sites. Conduct structured site reviews during Australian visits. Systems & Process Improvement
Manage and optimise JCurve ERP and warehouse management systems. Improve workflows, reporting, data accuracy and operational procedures. Identify opportunities for automation, efficiency gains, cost savings and reduced overheads. Product Development & Compliance
Support product research, development and new product launches, coordinating product setup, stock, packaging, logistics and documentation. Manage product testing, certification and compliance requirements for products supplied to the Australian market. Maintain an accurate register of test reports, certificates, applicable standards, expiry dates and compliance status. Coordinate testing, renewals and documentation with manufacturers, suppliers, laboratories and certification bodies. Verify that documentation applies to the exact product models or variants being supplied and escalate compliance gaps or risks. For lighting products, coordinate relevant electrical, photometric, performance and environmental testing, including NATA-accredited testing or endorsed reports where required by project specifications or relevant stakeholders. Leadership & Communication
Work closely with the Managing Director and Australian teams to resolve operational issues and maintain accountability. Coordinate with suppliers, freight providers, manufacturers, testing laboratories and other stakeholders. Identify risks early, follow actions through to completion and keep management informed of operational performance and priorities. Reporting
Prepare a weekly Operations Report covering purchasing, stock in transit, forecast cash requirements for stock orders, inventory, dispatch performance, delays, compliance and outstanding actions. Submit a structured report after each Australian site visit, including findings, action owners and target completion dates.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
