About us
Southern Cross Health Insurance is shaping a healthier Aotearoa New Zealand. Our purpose is simple: empowering our members to live well for longer. We're here to give peace of mind through timely access to quality care, inspire healthier living, and lead positive change across the health system. As a New Zealand-owned, member-based organisation, we're building a future where wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do -- delivering exceptional value for our members and creating an environment where our people thrive.
Now is an exciting time to join us. You'll be part of a high-performing, values-driven team where people are at the heart of everything we do -- and in return for your talent, you'll have the opportunity to grow, make an impact, and be proud of the difference your work makes.
About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Consumer Growth Marketing team and help shape how Southern Cross engages with current and future members.
Reporting to the Growth Marketing Manager, you'll deliver customer-focused acquisition and retention campaigns that support business growth, strengthen member engagement and improve the customer experience. Working across the full marketing mix, you'll collaborate with internal stakeholders, agencies and specialist marketing teams to bring integrated campaigns to life and drive meaningful results.
Key responsibilities include:
Developing and executing acquisition and retention marketing campaigns that drive growth and customer engagement. Managing creative and media agency relationships and campaign delivery. Supporting product launches and customer-focused initiatives across the Consumer portfolio. Planning and managing marketing programmes, budgets, timelines and performance reporting. Partnering with Insights, Digital, Communications and wider business teams to deliver integrated outcomes. Using customer insights, market trends and campaign data to inform decision-making and optimise performance. About you
You'll be a commercially minded marketer who enjoys balancing strategy and execution. You're comfortable working autonomously, managing multiple priorities and building strong relationships across a wide range of stakeholders.
You'll also bring:
Proven experience in consumer marketing, campaign management and through the line marketing. Experience delivering integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels. Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills. Experience working with external agencies and managing campaign delivery from brief to execution. Data-driven decision-making skills with an understanding of marketing performance and ROI. Project management capability, excellent organisation skills and the ability to manage competing priorities. Knowledge of digital marketing, CRM and marketing automation platforms. Our values – who we are and what's important to us
Ngākau nui. Āhurutanga. Tikanga. Join a team that's always there, always real, always true. If you thrive in a purpose-driven, diverse and supportive culture, we think you'll love working with us.
What we offer you
Five days of wellbeing leave per year (pro-rated for part-timers). Health insurance for you and your immediate whānau. Life insurance cover and discounts on pet and travel insurance. Additional parental leave benefits and financial wellbeing support. Access to our workplace wellbeing programme. This role is Auckland based, and while we appreciate interest from candidates in other locations, we're unfortunately not able to consider remote options for this position.
We are proud to have taken the Pride Pledge, reflecting our commitment to inclusion and belonging. We also facilitate an active, employee‑led Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Forum, which includes our Rainbow Network, Māori Network, Pasifika Collective, and Neurodiversity and Whānau Support networks.
If you share our commitment and passion, we'd love to hear from you.
