The Rol e

Own the strategy and evolution of Imperva’s core cloud application delivery and security platform-the foundation powering our cloud products and services. You will lead strategic platform initiatives, shape architectural direction in partnership with engineering, and enable seamless integration across the Imperva product portfolio. You will define the platform capabilities, performance, reliability, and visibility needed to support current and future products, translating complex infrastructure investments into measurable business value and differentiated customer experiences.

This is a platform product leadership role spanning long-term architecture and modernization, cross-product enablement, and customer-facing capabilities built on the core platform. You will work with dedicated engineering teams and partner closely with other product managers to balance platform health, strategic investment, and near-term product needs.

Your Impact

· Shape the future of the core cloud platform, including scalability, resilience, performance, security, and architectural modernization.

· Enable Imperva products to build on shared platform services, interfaces, telemetry, and integration capabilities.

·Turn platform strengths and constraints into differentiated capabilities and measurable outcomes for products and customers.

Responsibilities

· Own platform product strategy, investment priorities, roadmap, and success metrics across foundational and strategic initiatives.

· Partner with engineering leaders to evaluate architectural alternatives, technical dependencies, system behavior, and trade-offs; define product requirements and outcomes without prescribing implementation details.

· Develop a working understanding of the end-to-end cloud delivery path, including networking, proxies, traffic processing, security enforcement, caching, origin connectivity, and distributed failure modes.

· Define platform capabilities and shared contracts that support interoperability and efficient integration with Imperva security and application delivery products.

· Lead initiatives such as platform modernization, reliability, observability, performance, and emerging delivery/security capabilities as priorities evolve.

· Define the data, telemetry, and operational signals required to understand platform behavior and support trustworthy internal and customer-facing capabilities.

· Understand the needs and workflows of internal product teams and external customers; determine what belongs in the core platform, in individual products, or in customer integrations and tools.

· Translate ambiguous technical and business problems into phased roadmaps and focused MVPs, accounting for foundational dependencies, risk, cost, and time to value.

· Align engineering, peer PMs, security operations, field teams, and leadership around decisions, trade-offs, and outcomes.

Requirements

· 3+ years of product management experience with technically complex B2B platforms, cloud infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, or developer-facing products.

· Strong grasp of networking, HTTP, cloud architecture, and distributed systems; ability to reason about system boundaries, performance, failure scenarios, and technical constraints.

· Proven ability to decompose ambiguous problems, challenge assumptions, identify required evidence or telemetry, and translate findings into sound product decisions.

· Experience setting platform strategy and prioritizing foundational investments alongside product delivery and customer needs.

· Ability to understand internal consumers, customer workflows, market alternatives, and the value of platform capabilities across a product portfolio.

· Excellent communication and cross-functional leadership, including effective collaboration with senior engineering and architecture stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience with CDN, reverse proxies, edge computing, web application security, or application delivery platforms.

· Experience with high-scale telemetry, observability, service reliability, performance engineering, or API/platform integrations.

· Prior software engineering, systems engineering, or architecture experience.

· Experience building shared platforms serving multiple internal products or teams.
