Regional Packaging Engineer

Summary:

Our award-winning client is seeking a Regional Packaging Engineer to join their team. In this role, you will play a key role in ensuring efficient, effective, and compliant packaging operations across our entire region. You will be the go-to expert for all things packaging, working closely with various teams to develop and implement best practices.

Responsibilities:

Oversee packaging equipment, processes, and materials across the region.

Develop and maintain packaging specifications and instructions.

Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, procurement, and customer representatives to identify and implement packaging improvements for new and existing products.

Lead or support the selection, design, installation, and commissioning of new or improved packaging equipment.

Continuously optimize packaging operations to ensure production quality, boost productivity, and achieve cost savings.

Partner with operators, engineers, maintenance, and plant management to achieve packaging goals.

Support Quality and Product Management in investigating and resolving packaging-related customer complaints.

Travel regionally for routine visits or special projects (10-20% of the time).

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Packaging, Mechanical, or similar preferred).

Minimum 4 years of experience in packaging and packaging equipment within a manufacturing environment.

Experience with packaging liquids is a plus.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Ability to travel regionally as needed.
