About the job
TYTAN Technologies The PACE is fast. The expectations are high. The contribution matters. Working at TYTAN is more than a job, this is a mission. We thrive, think big, and hold ourselves to the highest standard. Our mission and values guide everything we do, and we're looking for people who thrive on ownership, embrace challenges, and are energized by meaningful work. If you're motivated by impact and thrive in dynamic environments, you'll fit right in.
At TYTAN, we aim to set a global standard in autonomous air defense with AI-driven, cost-efficient systems that counter unmanned aerial threats at scale. We protect people. We protect critical infrastructure. We protect Europe’s sovereignty.
We are looking for a UAV Sensor Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for the complete sensor subsystem of our interceptor UAVs, spanning hardware selection, interface design, embedded integration, testing, and flight validation. You will work closely with electronics, software, and autonomy engineers to ensure high-quality sensor data reaches the systems that depend on it. This role is ideal for an engineer who thrives on hands-on development, rapid iteration, and taking ownership from initial design through series production.
Your Roadmap to Make an Impact You own the complete onboard sensor suite of our interceptor UAVs as one integrated subsystem, end to end.
You select, specify and qualify sensors against performance, mass, power and cost targets, and drive in-house sensor hardware together with suppliers.
You own all sensor interfaces (electrical, data and mechanical) and integrate the sensors into the flight controller and onboard computing, working closely with our Electronics team on boards and harnesses.
You debug the whole chain, from bus and protocol level up to firmware and software, until clean data arrives where it’s needed.
You verify the suite on the bench, in HIL and environmental tests and in flight, and turn log and test findings into the next design iteration.
You own sensor requirements, ICDs, test procedures, reports and configuration control from as-designed to as-flown.
You are the technical counterpart to sensor suppliers and take the subsystem into series production through DfM, acceptance tests and supplier qualification.
