The Role We are looking for a R2R Accountant in our Aurora Finance Shared Services (FSS) model. Based in our Aurora hub in Kuala Lumpur, this role will perform R2R activities for selected entities across our global regions, working to standardised processes, and in an efficient and compliant manner while meeting local operational needs. The successful candidate will report to the local R2R Lead and will work with the R2R team to partner with the local Controllership teams, ensuring that all deadlines are met according to Group deadlines.
What You'll Do
Manage core R2R processes in NetSuite OneWorld-including journal entries, accruals, fixed assets, and intercompany transactions-ensuring full adherence to Group month-end timelines. Own balance sheet reconciliations and analytical reviews; lead monthly review meetings to ensure balance integrity and timely resolution of aging items. Review and validate revenue recognition entries, including net revenue schedules and WIP accounting. Prepare statutory financial statements in compliance with IFRS/GAAP and local regulations; serve as the primary point of contact for external audits. Ensure compliance with regional tax filings (VAT/GST), regulatory requirements, and established internal control frameworks. Partner closely with regional Controllership teams, apply sound accounting judgment, and guide junior team members to support their technical development.
What You'll Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; fully qualified or actively pursuing CPA, ACCA, or an equivalent professional certification. 2+ years of general accounting experience, ideally within a Financial Shared Services (FSS) or multi-entity regional setup. Hands-on experience with NetSuite OneWorld (specifically Intercompany and Fixed Asset Management modules) preferred. Advanced Excel capabilities (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, data validation) to reconcile and audit data across systems. Working knowledge of IFRS/GAAP principles, including foreign exchange (FX) revaluation and translation accounting. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with a track record of partnering effectively with remote regional controllership teams.
