Kickresume says it uses only the information already in your resume and makes nothing up. Worth knowing: Because the rewrite is automatic, read the whole result against your original before you send it, especially titles and dates.

Building your own tailored versions, with keyword hints
Teal
Teal is a resume builder where you keep a separate version for each job. Attach a posting and it highlights the keywords to address; its AI writes bullet points, a professional summary and cover letters that you pick from and edit. The free plan has unlimited resumes with a small allowance of AI credits. Teal+ ($13 every 7 days, $29 every 30 days or $79 every 90 days) makes the AI and keyword matching unlimited.
Worth knowing: Teal+ adds a match score between your resume and the role. Treat it as a pointer to what to read, not as the employer's decision.

Free tailoring next to a job feed and autofill
Jobright
Jobright generates a tailored resume for a job in under a minute and its autofill extension can attach it to that job's application. Jobright says every feature is free to use, but that resume tailoring has daily usage limits because it costs more to run, and that a paid option gives unlimited access.
Worth knowing: Neither the daily limit nor the paid price is published, so you find both out in the product.

Simplify's free resume builder compares your resume with a job description and shows which skills and keywords are covered and which may be missing, with no credit card. Worth knowing: The free half is a keyword check, not a rewrite. If a keyword names something you have not done, leave it out.

Worth knowing: Jobscan's workflow is built around a match rate that rises as you accept suggestions. A higher rate is not an interview; read each accepted line as a claim you will have to back up.

A general AI assistant can help tailor a resume when you check its changes against the original: give it the job description and your resume, ask it to map each requirement to experience you already have, flag gaps instead of filling them, and show every edit next to the original. Can I tailor my resume to a job description with AI for free?

Eligible new Litos accounts can build up to two AI-tailored resumes during onboarding; further builds require a trial or Litos+ plan. What is a tailored resume generator?
A tool that takes your resume and a job description and writes a version of the resume for that job, usually by reordering and rewording your experience and working in the posting's terms. A good one shows you each change and adds nothing you did not do.
Should I pick the tool that gives the highest ATS score?
No. A match score measures how many of the posting's words your resume repeats. It is not the employer's decision, and chasing it tempts you to add terms you cannot back up. Pick the tool that shows you each change and keeps to your real experience.
Does AI make up experience when it tailors a resume?
